We begin with the end in mind. Let’s discuss what your vision is. 

Pre-consultation

During the pre-consult, I want to learn a little more about you and your family and what type of session you are interested in?  What is it about your newborn/children that you want to remember 20 years from now and how do you want to remember it?…in an album that can be handed down from generation to generation or in a wall portrait that will make you smile every single day?

I will briefly explain my process, and how I work as an artist to create artwork for your home.  I will share with you different artwork options which allows you to customize your own portrait package, as well as starting prices. 

Planning

Next, we create a plan including what to wear, color design, and props, how images will be displayed in your home, and all the session details. We will also address any questions you may have. Consults will take place over the phone. 

My home studio, located in Glen Mills, PA, has everything you need for your newborn session, including props and set designs. You are more than welcome to bring any newborn keepsakes or special items you would like to use during the session.  You will receive a Newborn Guide to help prepare you for your session, as well as help answer any questions you may have.  

The Session

All newborn sessions take place at my home studio is Glen Mills. During a newborn session, I want you to sit back and relax.  We have everything you need.  Newborns generally respond to your energy and therefore, the more relaxed and comfortable you are, the chances of a successful newborn session we can expect. 

Order and Design Appointment

One to two weeks after your session,  you will come to the studio for your viewing and ordering appointment. At that time, you will work with Jamie to choose the perfect portrait(s) for the right art piece for your home.  

You will be able to see all products I offer, including coffee table albums and books, folio boxes, wall decor, triplexes and more.

This is an incredible opportunity to decorate the home you love with images of the people you love most in the world. 

A Typical Session with Jamie Englert Photography

I have had the great privilege to photograph and get to know this family since the birth of their first baby in 2021. This summer they welcomed baby Gurfateh to the family. Gurfateh was a dream baby and I am so happy I was given the opportunity to document this special time in their life as they welcome their second baby.

I start each session with just your baby. I always start with a wrapped baby to get them into a nice, deep sleep, then I can peel back the layers to get down to those beautiful posed unwrapped setups (and naked setups if desired). My goal is to keep your baby comfortable and calm for their session and transition smoothly from each setup creating unique images.

 

Before your session, I will briefly discuss how we will add other children and family to the session. I know small children have short attention spans so I will work quickly to get those images. We will get all the traditional shots with mom and dad with the baby, and then will add in other children. Grandparents are also always welcome!

This family chose a Family Digital Package with 40 images. At their ordering appointment I showed them their whole gallery of images from which they chose their favorite 40 images.
