Each session is thoughtfully planned around your preferences, whether you are envisioning finished artwork for your home, a curated digital collection, or a combination of both.

Newborn Photographer Serving Glen Mills, West Chester & the Main Line

My studio is in Glen Mills, PA, and many families travel from West Chester, Media, the Main Line, Philadelphia, and Delaware. To make it easy, planning and ordering appointments can be done via Zoom so you don’t have to drive in multiple times.

01

Consultation & Planning

Each newborn photography session begins with a consultation, either in your home or virtually. During this time, we’ll discuss how you’d like to enjoy your images — whether that’s artwork for your home, digital files, or both — and plan the session accordingly.

For clients interested in artwork, we’ll review placement, sizing, and design. For those focusing on digital images, the session is planned with the same care and intention.

Our newborn photography studio is located in Glen Mills, PA and is convenient to families in West Chester, Media, and the surrounding areas. The studio is fully equipped with curated props, wardrobe options, and custom set designs so every detail is prepared in advance.

The Newborn Session

When you arrive, the studio is prepared and ready. The session is structured to flow smoothly, whether parents or siblings are included.

Sessions are guided by your baby’s natural rhythm, allowing time for feeding, soothing, and breaks as needed. The environment is calm and comfortable so you can relax throughout the experience.

03

Order & Design Appointment

Approximately two weeks after your session, you’ll return for an in-person ordering and design appointment. During this time, you’ll view your images and choose how you’d like to enjoy them — from custom artwork to digital collections, or a combination of both.

04

DELIVERY

Finished products are ready approximately 4–6 weeks after your ordering appointment. Whether you’ve selected artwork, digital images, or both, each piece is prepared with attention to quality and detail.

After your newborn portraits are complete, many families continue documenting milestones throughout  baby’s first year and return for a family photography session as their little one grows.

Complete collection details and investment information are shared upon inquiry and during your consultation, where we guide you through artwork and digital options tailored to your home.

“The days are long, but the years are short. Let’s capture these precious moments before they slip away.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Newborn sessions often come with questions — from timing to siblings to what happens after your session. Below are answers to some of the most common questions.

When should I book my newborn photography session?

Most families reserve their newborn session during the second trimester to ensure availability around their due date. Newborn portraits are typically photographed within the first 5–14 days after birth, when babies are sleepiest and naturally curled.

Newborn sessions vary depending on the artwork and/or digital collection you choose. After your session, we’ll meet for a private ordering and design appointment where you can select custom wall art, albums, or digital collections based on your preferences. You can view detailed pricing and options on the Pricing page

Full pricing details and collection options are shared upon inquiry so we can guide you toward the experience and artwork that best fits your family.

The first two weeks of life are ideal for classic newborn portraits. During this window, babies are more likely to sleep deeply and settle comfortably into gentle, natural posing. However, babies can be photographed at any age. Older babies may be more alert and less curled, but often give us sweet stretches, soft expressions, and sometimes early smiles.

We love working with growing families. Sessions are customized to your needs—usually beginning with baby alone, then adding siblings and parents once baby is settled. Grandparents are welcome as well, if planned in advance.

You don’t need to bring much. My studio is fully prepared with curated wraps, props, and wardrobe options for baby. I recommend bringing extra diapers, a pacifier (even if baby doesn’t typically use one), and extra bottles if bottle feeding. You are also welcome to bring anything special you would like included in your session.  If siblings or parents will be photographed, we’ll review wardrobe during your consultation so everything feels cohesive and timeless.

Newborn sessions are never rushed. Time is built in for feeding, soothing, and breaks as needed. Babies are photographed both asleep and awake if necessary — beautiful images can be created either way.  Jamie has an excellent success rate, even with fussy babies. If photographing your baby becomes too difficult, options will be discussed before ending the session.

Absolutely. Minor procedures or an attached umbilical cord do not prevent a successful session. Adjustments are made as needed to ensure your baby remains comfortable throughout the experience.  Many babies still have their umbilical cord. We wrap with the diaper on or gently cover the area during photos.

Your viewing and ordering appointment takes place in the studio within one to two weeks. During this private reveal, we’ll select your favorite images and design artwork or digital collections tailored to your home.

Yes. Flexible payment options make it easy to spread your balance into manageable installments leading up to your session.
