Consultation & Planning
Every maternity session begins with a personal consultation to design an experience that feels comfortable, beautiful, and tailored to you. We’ll talk through styling, wardrobe, and the vision you have for your portraits. Sessions can include your partner or children if you wish, making the experience even more meaningful.
The ideal time for maternity photography is when your baby bump is beautifully defined but you’re still comfortable—often between 28–34 weeks. Some mothers prefer an earlier session for announcement photos, while others wait until later in pregnancy when the silhouette is more pronounced. This flexibility allows the timing to reflect your unique journey.
We’ll also discuss how you would like to enjoy and preserve these images. Many expectant mothers choose a custom-designed album to document this chapter, while others prefer statement wall art or framed pieces that highlight the beauty of pregnancy. These options allow your maternity portraits to stand alone as works of art or to be paired with your newborn session for a seamless story of motherhood.

The Maternity Session
Your session is more than a photoshoot—it’s a day of well-deserved pampering. I’ll guide you through every step, from preparation tips to posing, so you feel confident, relaxed, and radiant.
Many clients choose to enhance the experience with a manicure, and professional hair and makeup. Soft waves, natural daytime makeup, and individual false lashes photograph beautifully, highlighting your features and your curves. A mani-pedi in soft pastel tones is always a great choice, especially for close-up shots of your hands and belly.
At the studio in Glen Mills—convenient to the Main Line, Philadelphia, West Chester, Media, and Wilmington—you’ll find carefully curated wardrobe pieces and a comfortable, private environment designed for expectant mothers.

ORDER AND DESIGN APPOINTMENT
Within one to two weeks, you’ll return to the studio to view your portraits. This is where we’ll select your favorites and explore luxury products such as albums, folio boxes, and wall art. Together, we’ll create artwork that reflects this special chapter in your life and fits seamlessly into your home.

DELIVERY
Your finished artwork will be ready in approximately 4–6 weeks. Whether displayed as a statement portrait or preserved in an heirloom album, these images are designed to celebrate your journey into motherhood and to be treasured for years to come.

What If We Can’t Get Great Photos?
Jamie has an excellent success rate, even with fussy babies. If photographing your baby becomes too difficult, options will be discussed before ending the session.
How Many Images Will I See?
Most newborn galleries include 50–80 images at your ordering appointment. Duplicates and soft edits are removed before you view your final selection.
